PAINTINGS BY NOEL

The herons nest here every spring, it is one of the largest rookeries in the area.  A small islet in the Willamette River which is dense with trees and underbrush.  This was painted just before the male herons returned.  They arrive first to vacuum and dust before the females arrive.
